Coca-Cola Hellenic Estonia recognized as Estonia’s most responsible company

Beograd  -  Coca-Cola Hellenic Estonia has been declared Estonia’s most socially responsible company for 2010 in a nationwide assessment of businesses and organisations committed to social, environmental and economical responsibility in their behaviour.

The company, a member of the Coca-Cola Hellenic Group which has operations in 28 countries, was recognised for its efforts to incorporate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into every aspect of its activities, and in particular for its assistance in helping former employees find new jobs in a difficult economic climate.

“We are greatly encouraged by being chosen the winner in this year’s Index,” said Mr. Gordon Fyfe, Public Affairs and Communication Manager, Coca-Cola Hellenic Baltics. “By embedding CSR into the core of our business, we seek to not only make our business sustainable but also contribute to the sustainability of the communities we serve.

Acknowledgment of the company’s efforts was accorded by the non-governmental organisation The Responsible Business Forum, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, the Estonian Business School and the Estonian business daily newspaper Äripäev which annually compiles a CSR Index with partial funding from the European Commission.
