“Jovan Jovanović Zmaj “Primary School in “School without Violence “ programme

Coca-Cola Hellenic Serbia provided funds for including the School in the UNICEF programme, and the Company employees, together with pupils, organised the Good Will Day campaign

School without ViolenceBelgrade – Owing to a donation of Coca-Cola Hellenic Serbia, the “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj“ Primary School from Surdulica has joined the “School without Violence” Programme, aimed at creating a safe and encouraging environment for learning and growth. The Programme includes education of pupils, teachers, parents and members of the local community on how to recognise emerging violence, how to react to it in a constructive and prevention manner and how to jointly develop the culture of non-violence. Marking the School’s inclusion in the Programme, the Company has organised the traditional Good Will Day campaign, where Coca-Cola volunteers, together with the pupils, have participated in refurbishing classrooms and the schoolyard, followed by a fair play basketball tournament.

“Our School applied for the “School without Violence” Programme in 2006. We were patient and certain that this day would come. As of today, we have new friends, whom we wish to thank for understanding our needs and knowing that children are our most valuable treasure,” said Danijela Milić, Principal of the “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj“ Primary School.

“We have committed today’s day and our positive energy to the most important members of the society – children and their safer growing up. Marking the School’s inclusion in the “School without Violence” Programme, we have decided to additionally contribute to the improvement of conditions for educating children and implement our traditional Good Will Day campaign, where we have donated necessary school benches and chairs, while our Coca-Cola volunteers have renovated the ceremonial room and, together with the pupils, planted flowers in the schoolyard. The whole campaign promotes values which we as a company advocate: establishment of better-quality conditions of living in the local community, support to its development and development of each individual,” said Dejan Kanurić, Production Operations Manager in Vlasinka factory.
